UM6P Ventures is fortunate to have access to such a great variety of startups here in Morocco through its vast ecosystem of partners.

Recently we partnered with accelerator Plug and Play and participated in Batch 2 of their Smart Cities Innovation Acceleration Program. One of the many talented startups that caught our eye was WafR.

WafR, founded in 2021, has developed an app that enables retail brands to deliver smart promotions to users at the time of purchase.  By influencing and steering consumers’ purchases toward a specific brand, manufacturers are able to increase market share, sales volume, and profitability.

Having already gained a significant amount of traction, WafR sought  funding to continue on its successful path.  We are pleased to share that we have invested in WafR so they can continue to expand their retail network to an additional 10,000 – 50,000 retail shop app users.  We had a chance to sit down with co-founder Ismail Bargach.  You can learn more about this fast-growing startup in the short video we captured.
