Entrepreneurship and innovation in Deeptech, scientifically or technologically sophisticated ventures, require more than capital investment. In the early stages of growth, anywhere between a lab demonstrator and customer pilot, science-based startups seek to raise capital that match their resource requirements and fulfill their maturation milestones. These resources such as talent, domain expertise, and infrastructure can be inaccessible or cost prohibitive. Success for Morocco and Africa in Deeptech depends on a balance between resource and capital availability, economic viability, education, and the research environment. Our program, in collaboration with the UM6P Deeptech ecosystem of partners, combines a state-of-the-art accelerator and a community rich in talent, subject-matter experts, and labs. Each of the startups in our cohort receives a dedicated combination of capital investment and resources.
