UM6P Ventures is thrilled to announce its new
investment in Logidoo, alongside diverse local and international VC investors. The Startup was founded in 2020 by Tamsir
Ousmane, with a mission to create trade corridors between African countries by providing
fast, reliable, secure and affordable logistics.
Logidoo is a digital platform that connects
African markets using intelligent logistics to overcome the lack of
traceability and tariff barriers. The platform
provides a door-to-door logistics, shipping, and delivery services by optimizing
the supply chain and integrating all the stakeholders into one digital solution. The solution developed by Logidoo’s team solves
a major challenge in logistics industry in Africa – cost. Logistics are costly in
Africa and are almost 3 times more expensive than average costs in other parts
of the world, mainly due to non-existent corridors, complex customs,
uncontrolled costs, delays and lack of infrastructure.
The funds raised will help the logistics startup
reach key milestones, namely scaling up and reinforcing its operations in
Morocco and the Ivory Coast, developing a franchise network in Africa and focusing
on the technological development of its e-commerce application.
In addition to the capital provided, UM6P
Ventures intends to support Logidoo in many ways.
The fund will facilitate access to 1337
School’s best talent to strengthen Logidoo’s application.
The startup will also leverage on OCP Africa
network and supplychain expertise to scale its Business Model on the targeted
countries.
